Visit to the crew of “OOCL Poland”
2022年6月8日，香港国际海员服务中心团队应邀前往8号货柜码头，冒雨探望了“OOCL Poland”商船上的国际海员。
On June 8, 2022, representatives of Hong Kong International Seafarer Services Centre (ISSC) were headed to Terminal 8 of Hongkong International Terminals in the rain, as they were invited to visit the international seafarers on the “OOCL Poland”.
“OOCL Poland”商船(IMO号:9622588)系中远海东方海外公司旗下的14万吨集装箱船，悬挂香港旗,主要往返于美国东海岸、香港、广东盐田、厦门、上海及越南等。该船船员定编30名，实际在岗26人，大部分船员来自中国内地，两名香港船员分别受聘担任二管轮与实习生，另有五名船员来自菲律宾。
M.V. “OOCL Poland” (IMO No.: 9622588) is a 140,000-ton container ship owned by COSCO OOCL. The Hong Kong flagged merchant vessel mainly travels between the east coast of the United States, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Guangdong Yantian, Xiamen and Shanghai of China. There were 30 crew members in manning, while 26 of them were onboard. Most of the crew members came from mainland China. One second engineer and one trainee came from Hong Kong, and another five crew members from the Philippines.
根据有关防疫要求，探访人员没有登船，在船舷边将中心的慰问大礼包交予船员代表,并转达了香港同行的问候。船上的二副、值班水手代表接收了中心的慰问物资，详细介绍了船上海员的工作与生活情况，代表全体海员对中心的探访表示感谢，并邀请中心工作团队在疫情缓和后登船进行深入交流。
According to the related anti-pandemic restrictions, representatives did not onboard the vessel, but handed the condolence package and expressed greetings from ISSC to the crew representative on the port beside the vessel. The second officer and the representative of the sailor received the gifts, and introduced the work and living conditions of the seafarers onboard in detail. They expressed their gratitude to ISSC for visiting them on behalf of the crew, and invited the team onboard the vessel for more in-depth communication when the pandemic is over.
