2021年6月15下午，SCO SHANGHAI停靠香港葵涌貨櫃碼頭，香港國際海員服務中心團隊義工應SCO SHANGHAI王船長邀請上船探訪，並送上有關代購物品。

中心團隊義工剛到達船旁，船員已經在旁熱烈歡迎團隊義工的到來，並表示船長已在房間等候見面。

王船長表示，他們大概7天左右停靠香港一次，其間還會停靠台灣的台北及基隆港口，航程緊密，船員都非常疲累。

由於現時各地疫情都很嚴重，尤其他們經過往返台灣等地，加上部份船員還未接種疫苗，所以大家都特別注重衛生。

他表示自己已經接種疫苗，很高興中心義工的到來，十分感謝中心為他們船員準備的物品。

中心工作团队为MV.BELAWAN船员送去关怀

2021年6月1日，应船员请求，香港国际海员服务中心工作工作团队一行5人探访了MV.BELAWAN商船并送去代购的生活物品。

MV.BELAWAN系本港注册商船并签有香港的集体协议，往返于越南、泰国及中国内地、香港之间的航线，船员来自中国与越南，本港一名海员在船实习。

因疫情管控，抵港商船的船员无法下地，船员普遍反映生活用品不足，精神方面也有很大压力。疫情以来，中心虽暂停了探船安排，但并未对船员的需求置之不理。在保证安全的前提下，中心工作团队根据船员的请求为其代买电话卡、食物、饮品等，并帶去报刊书籍，与船员谈心，沟通交换信息。

BELAWAN商船马船长感谢中心给予的帮助。他真切的说，疫情让我们无法下地，只能隔离于船上，如同关禁闭一般孤独、苦闷。你们的到来，让我仿佛看见了亲人一般亲切。

疫情以来，各船公司青睐中国船员，船员工资随之高涨，业界一片叫好之声。谈话中，马船长对此却没有一味地表示乐观，“大企业可以凭高工资招募到优秀的船员，而中小航运公司却不得不接手技能差、综合素质相对较低的船员，这给船上的安全管理工作带来很大的挑战”。马船长抱怨说，新换班的海员已多次因业务不熟练而令船上的工作效率下降，部分设备设施维护不到位，甚至被人为损坏，这让他很难管理。同时，他认为疫情过后，随着国际旅行限制的放宽，中国船员的高工资势必不会再被船公司容忍，一些普通海员将面临这失去工作的风险。“中国船员应抓住机遇，尽快提升自己的技能与综合素质能力，努力向高级船员转向”，马船长说。

2021年3月21日上午，海事訓練學院導師黃秋明先生與本中心義工抵達葵涌3號貨櫃碼頭，登上M.V. BELAWAN探望該船船員以及了解香港海員陳建東船上的近況。

中心義工團隊及導師與船長及輪機長作短暫交流，隨後陳建東邀請導師參觀船上的駕駛台，並且向導師介紹此船駕駛台的設備。

他表示很榮幸海事訓練學院的導師上船參觀，及很高興可以向導師分享其船上工作及生活等趣事。

導師則表示期望學生能將在學校所學的知識學以致用，並且鼓勵學生堅持下去繼續努力工作。他亦表示現時貨船的設備先進，船上生活環境比舊時為好，希望能將此行所見的與其他航海學生分享，好讓他們對船上的工作及生活方式有所了解。

On 21st March, 2021, Mr. Benny WONG, instructor of Maritime Service Training Institute, was invited to participate a ship visit together with HKISSCs’ volunteers. They arrived at Terminal 3 of Kwai Chung Container Terminal and boarded on M.V. BELAWAN in the morning.

Mr. Benny WONG and HKISSCs’ volunteers, had a good exchange with Captain and Chief Engineer of M.V. BELAWAN about the working conditions and situations of seafarers. In this exchange, Cadet Chan Kin Tung invited instructor to visit the wheelhouse and had a brief introduction about the equipment.

He said that it was his pleasure and a good chance to meet his past instructor from the Maritime Service Training Institute onboard and he was happy to share his work and life onboard the ship with instructor.

Benny expressed that it was good to see his students to apply what they have learnt at school and he encouraged students to work hard. He also said that the equipment onboard were much advanced nowadays and the living environment onboard had improved a lot. He hoped that he can share what he had seen here with other students who were studying in maritime studies so that they can have a better understanding of the job nature and living onboard the ship.

TS Yokohama於3月12日下午停泊香港葵涌8號貨櫃碼頭，期間本中心收到此船的船員委託，為他們代購食物及電話卡。

中心義工於傍晚到達船旁，TS Yokohama船員熱烈歡迎中心義工並邀請義工上船參觀。船員表示疫情之下船員都未能安排上岸，甚至有數個船員由上船開始至今超過半年都未曾踏足陸地。他們表示公司現已要求所有新上船船員上船前都必須接種疫苗，寄望可於不久將來安排已注射疫苗的船員上岸，以解開他們鬱悶的情緒。船員亦表示疫情之下中心能為他們提供代購服務非常難得。

其他船員到港後如有需要可向本中心查詢，中心會盡量安排義工送上有關代購物品。

TS Yokohama berthed at Berth8 of Kwai Chung Container Terminal on 12th March 2021 afternoon. HKISSC received the request from the ship’s crew to buy food and sim cards for them.

Crews from TS Yokohama welcomed our volunteers warmly and invited them to go onboard the ship when our volunteers arrived at the ship in the evening. Crew said they could not take shore leave during the epidemic and some of crew members have not set foot on land for more than half a year since they went onboard the vessel. They said that the company has now required all new join crew members to be vaccinated before boarding any vessel and they hope that crews who have been vaccinated are allowed go ashore soon, so as to relieve their stress. They also said it is very rare to see an organization can provide them purchasing services during the epidemic.

因應M.V. BELAWAN船員的委託，本中心特此安排中心義工為他們代購藥物及電話卡。M.V. BELAWAN於2021年1月9日上午靠好3號貨櫃碼頭後，中心義工上船向船長及其他船員送上有關物品，並向他們表達慰問。

船員表示現在疫情嚴重，所有碼頭都不允許船員上岸，因此他們都不能上岸購買日常用品，感覺身心疲累，所以他們都表示很高興看到中心義工上船為他們送上代購的物品。

其他船員到港後如有需要可向本中心查詢，中心會盡量安排義工送上有關代購物品。

Upon the request of ship’s crews from M.V. BELAWAN, HKISSC arranged the volunteers to purchase the items needed for them, such as medicine and SIM cards. M.V. BELAWAN berthed at Berth 3 of Kwai Chung Container Terminal in the morning on 9^th January 2021. Our team came onboard and sent those items needed for Capt. Zhu and the other crews.

Due to the epidemic of the COVID-19, ship’s crew are not allowed to take shore leaves and they cannot buy the daily necessities on shore. They are really exhausted about this. Therefore, they felt very delighted when they saw our team have come onboard and sent them the purchased items.
